University of South Carolina: Approaching their bicentennial, the University of South Carolina's reputation had begun to suffer. University of North Carolina at Charlotte: When the University of North Carolina at Charlotte came back to Rodger Motiska Design* to update their visual identity they were on the verge of a new era reflecting the growth of the Charlotte region and the university's maturation into a major institution. Simple in design the logo symbolizes higher learning on a number of levels -- an open book, a torch, a flower blossoming and a student in cap & gown.
Winthrop University: When Winthrop gained university status in 1992, the occasion was marked by the unveiling of a new logo reflecting the institution’s distinctive qualities. The iconic Tillman hall is the original campus building and the image of its bell tower was used to create the new logo and is combined with a new wordmark signature.
